Alfalfa is often seeded with a variety of
different hay varieties according to animal needs. One of the more common
mixes is Orchard-Alfalfa hay which is used for bovine and equine feeds. Some of
the highest quality Orchard-Alfalfa hay mixes are grown in the western states,
especially Utah, Idaho, and Colorado as these areas have optimal growing
conditions and more importantly, very good drying conditions.
Orchard-Alfalfa hay is highly desirable
because of its nutritional and flavor values.
